For the seventh consecutive year, Community Bank of Tri-County employees took part in annual United Way Day of Caring events held throughout Southern Maryland, including Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.
A community-wide event, the Day of Caring benefits non-profit agencies as volunteers complete needed “hands on” work projects on site, and local businesses chip in to support their efforts.
Our employees always look forward to participating in the Day of Caring, eager and willing to help carry out our longstanding tradition of giving back to the community.
This year, Community Bank of Tri-County employees could be found mulching and beautifying the parking areas at Walden Sierra and the Compass House and Anchor Center; cleaning and organizing at the Spring Dell Center, and organizing and running the annual picnic for ARC of Southern MD at Hallowing Point Park.
Our own Georgia Bennett, a Board member of the United Way of Charles County, describes the annual Day of Caring as an event that “truly represents the compassion and kindness found in our community.”
We couldn’t agree more! Thanks to our Community Bank volunteers for helping to make the Day of Caring a success throughout Southern Maryland again this year.
