Community Bank Of Tri-County Wins Financial Marketing Award

Waldorf, Md., September 21, 2006 – The American Bankers Association announced its 2006 ABA Financial Marketing Awards on Monday, September 11, 2006 at its marketing conference in Chicago, Illinois. Community Bank of Tri-County received first place in the Customer Retention category for its IRA Campaign “It’s 2005. Remember when that seemed like a long way off?”

“The ABA Financial Marketing Awards is the only industry-specific forum for recognizing premier marketing in financial services,” says Hillary Theriault, Assistant Vice President and Marketing Manager for Community Bank of Tri-County. “To win first place in customer retention is a testament to our efforts.”

A panel of senior financial services marketing and advertising professionals made the winning selection based on the implementation of communications strategy, tone, message and positioning, as well as the campaign’s overall quality.

The national competition, now in its 35th year, recognizes the year’s most impressive campaigns in the categories of branding, customer acquisition/retention marketing, community service, diversity, financial education, humor, inspiration, internal branding and annual reports.
